The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia from August 25 to 26 to participate in the extraordinary session of the IIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), which will take place in Jeddah.

The DPM will come directly from Dhaka, following the conclusion of his two -day visit to Bangladesh, to attend the high -level meeting, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The high -level meeting will bring together foreign ministers and senior officials of the OIC Member States to deliberate the coordinated responses to the growing developments in Palestine,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deliberations are expected to focus on the growing concerns about Israeli military aggression, efforts towards total gaza control and continuous violations of Palestinian rights.

The extraordinary CFM session, chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, reflects a unified position of Muslim nations in the midst of humanitarian and political challenges in the region.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions will focus on the coordination of joint efforts to face Israeli plans that strengthened the occupation, apply blockages and will contribute to a broad humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

In the session, it is expected to press for the total withdrawal of the Israeli forces of the occupied territories, reject the plans for expanded military control over Gaza and request uninterrupted humanitarian assistance.

It will also urge the restoration of Palestinian rights, including the establishment of an independent, adjoining and sovereign state based on the limits prior to June 1967, with Al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital.

The extraordinary session occurs following the announcement of Israel to expand its military occupation of Gaza.

According to the reports, the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, dismissed the mediation efforts of high fire in progress and ordered the military to accelerate the implementation of a plan destined to affirm the total control over the city of Gaza.

According to reports, the plan, approved on August 8, includes the forced displacement of almost a million residents to the south of Gaza, the rodeo of the city of Gaza and terrestrial operations within densely populated residential areas.
