The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, will travel to the United States next week to participate in high -level events that mark the presidency of Pakistan of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in New York, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday.
Give preside over multiple signature events at the UN Headquarters, including an open high -level debate on “promoting international peace and security through multilateralism and a peaceful dispute agreement.” The session aims to strengthen multilateral diplomacy and mediation as key tools to resolve global conflicts.
It will also preside over the UNSC’s quarterly open debate on the “situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue”, underlining Pakistan’s continuous approach to international long -standing disputes, fo added.

In addition, Dar is scheduled to preside over a special informative session of the CSNU on the strengthening of cooperation between the United Nations and the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC), part of the broader diplomatic impulse of Pakistan to link multilateral institutions in search of peace.
To reaffirm the solidarity of Pakistan with Palestine, the Vice Primer Minister will attend a high -level conference on the “peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the solution of two states.” The event is expected to propose that the call of Islamabad de Islamabad is the end of the occupation and a fair resolution to the conflict of decades.
During his stay in New York, he is also expected to celebrate several bilateral meetings with other Ministers of Foreigners and high UN officials. Later he will travel to Washington for additional commitments, although specific details of the visit have not yet been announced.

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister visited Afghanistan, where he held a trilateral meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. The meeting reinforced the strong ties between the three nations and their shared commitment to peace, connectivity, trade and regional development.
During his visit, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan signed a trilateral agreement that involves a key rail project that aims to connect the three countries.
Apart from the firm ceremony of the UAP railway corridor, Dar met with Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund. The two leaders discussed key issues of mutual interest, including peace and security, commercial and transit cooperation, and regional connectivity.
