Giving Pakistan’s support for the independent Palestinian state at the UN

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine to an independent state, emphasizing the importance of borders prior to 1967.

Speaking at the United Nations High Level International Conference on “The Pacific Settlement of the Palestine Talk and the implementation of the solution of two states” in New York, GIV highlighted the position of its long -standing nation on the Palestinian issue.

“For more than 75 years, the Palestinian people have suffered the occupation, displacement and denial of their fundamental rights,” he said, addressing diplomats and officials gathered.

The Foreign Minister condemned the violence in progress in Gaza, particularly the death of more than 58,000 Palestinians, describing it as “an inconceivable violation of international humanitarian law.” He affirmed that the situation violates the resolutions of the United Nations and the binding decisions of the International Court of Justice.

Giving urged a “high unconditional, immediate and permanent fire” through Gaza and all the territories occupied by the Palestinians, emphasizing the importance of protecting civilians and adhering to international laws.

In addition, Dar asked for “complete humanitarian access and without obstacles”, particularly the delivery of food and medicines that save lives to Gaza. He also highlighted the need for the protection of humanitarian teams working on the field.
