Glen Powell stars in upcoming movie The running man as Ben Richards, which is the adaptation of Stephen King’s 1982 novel of the same name.
Arnold Schwarzenegger previously starred in the film, but now Top Gun: Maverick Star reveals that her approach will be different.
“Ben Richards is the ultimate underdog. He’s a regular guy taking on the most powerful oppressive system. So there’s no higher stakes, no lower odds,” he says at New York Comic Con.
The star continues: “When Edgar and I first started talking about this role, I try to be a good guy in real life, but he’s like, ‘I need a bad mood, Glen.’
“I need to activate something a little different in you. And that’s why, in the book, Ben Richards is very frustrated with the system,” he says.
“He’s been pressured. He’s trying to support his family and all options to do so have been taken away from him.”
“So this is a man who is just trying to provide for his family in a place that doesn’t allow him to do so, and there’s a growing frustration and anger there. I have to unleash that part of my personality,” Glen concludes.
The running man It will be released in theaters on November 14, 2025.
