Google Chrome Enterprise users will now see improved warning tags when a work profile starts, luckily helping them to keep the personal and work sessions separate.
The improved interface and brand changes are even more prominent to clearly separate work and personal profiles.
The change was announced in an update of the business oriented to the popular Google web browser, together with updates of the login experience and the improved reports for the administrators.
Chrome Enterprise warnings
“With the browser playing a more critical role in daily work, it is more important than ever than IT teams make employees that are registered in a corporate navigation experience that manages and monitors their company,” wrote products manager Julia Lomakina and the product manager of the Hakan Kilic group in a blog post.
Managers explained how companies can use their own brand and logos to customize Chrome’s experience. They also noticed that employees can use the browser to understand what additional controls can be in their place, imposed by their workplaces.
Lomakina and Kilic pointed out that, even if companies decide not to customize their Chrome company, the next versions will add more characteristics so that work browsers stand out from personnel: “Employees will receive an indication that they are in an environment of ‘work’ administrated” profile.
In recognition of the continuous popularity of hybrid work, the publication also highlights the new features of reports that allow administrators to see users administered on platforms on all platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, which is ideal for companies with disposition consumption policies (Byod).
The personalization of the browser with logo support is available for Chrome Enterprise Core, which is available for all companies at no additional cost. Advanced data protections and profile reports come with the Chrome Enterprise Premium package.
