- Pixels phones could soon admit issues, according to the new code
- Let customizations apply more quickly
- The function can arrive with Android 16
After showing the great update on Google I/O 2025 earlier this month, Google is ready to launch Android 16 in the next few days, at least in regards to Pixel phones, and it seems that Pixel devices are also online for an important customization update.
The Android Authority team has seen evidence of a characteristic of hidden pixels in the code for the last beta of Android 16. While the feature has not yet left live, it seems to be close to completing.
Many other Android phones, including the best Samsung Galaxy phones, already offer topics: they allow you to group screen funds, color schemes and icon packages in a single package, and then you can apply them with a single touch.
It seems that the themes would be available through the current uphols Tapiz and style paper Settings in configuration. It would also be a fairly prominent option, based on the existing code.
Coming soon?
It is not clear if you can see a gallery of topics provided by Google and perhaps other users, as well as creating their own customization combinations. On Samsung phones, there is a large gallery of topics options to choose from.
Another question we have is whether this feature will be ready on time for the official and stable launch of Android 16: the rumor is that we could see that on Tuesday, June 3, although that has not yet been confirmed.
Google may wait for a posterior android 16 launch before pressing issues and making them available to pixels owners. Other Android telephone manufacturers may use (or not use) the Google theme code as they seem best.
The next changes we know in Android 16 include a better battery health monitoring (for newer pixels), improved safety features and a renewed and more modern aspect for the interface called expressive material 3.
