- Google Menses now has an option to delete for everyone
- The function is now being implemented to Android telephone users
- It will only work for your RCS messages
Have you ever sent a text message that you regret instantly and wish that they could erase? Well, Google messages is finally giving users the ability to remove messages from everyone’s devices, including the phones that received them.
This feature has been in the hands of the Beta de Google messages messages since May, and in reality it was first seen in the application code in February (through Android Authority), but now it is reaching the full global launch of the application.
What that means for Google messages is when you want to delete a message that you have sent, and is chatting with someone who uses the application through RCS, you will see two options: delete for me or delete for everyone.
To find this menu, press and hold a message, then select the garbage icon at the top of your screen. You will also see the option to copy or star in the message if you prefer to highlight your mistake.
The application observes that messages can still be seen by people who execute previous versions of the application, and text messages sent to someone who is no more than RCS will not be eliminable.
I have quickly given the function a test in my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, sending text messages and removal of messages to my fiancee, and functions as a charm.
As with other services, our two deadlines show a bubble “Eliminated Message” where my text used to be.
Although someone can still see the text if they react faster than you can delete it, you will see that my messages were answered before I could erase them, so while deleting a message can be useful, it is not better that you do not make an error first.
