- Google messages could be obtaining a new repetition function that allows you to send messages for longer periods
- It is the first repetition function since Google dissolved its text reminding function
- There has been more evidence that group chat bonds reach Google’s messages, but you will have to wait a little longer.
We are just over a quarter of the year, and Google has introduced a substantial amount of changes in its Google messages, so many that I am beginning to lose account. But despite these constant changes, Google is working to make your experience easier to use and personnel when it comes to your messaging service, and two more useful characteristics have emerged in process.
In its intricate disassembly, Android Authority has noticed a new notification feature, in addition to bringing more evidence of its new characteristics of group chat to the surface. Of all its recent updates, Google has been paying close attention to its group chat that binds to the links in the messages, and although we have seen our eyes since the rumors emerged a few weeks ago, this last update confirms that it is on its way.
Repetition messages for longer, respond to your convenience
However, I would say that the most interesting thing here is the addition of the repetition function. Unlike the text reminder function that Google used to offer, Android Authority has discovered chains in its disassembly that point to the specific notification options that include an hour, eight hours and 24 hours.
In addition, there is also a ‘always’ option, which we imagine that it will require that you deactivate manually when ready to start receiving messages again. While this new evidence found is promising, there is no clear indication of whether you can use it to silence individual messages, but it seems that it is still notified if you are mentioned in a chat.
This could be another great improvement for those who trust Google messages for daily contact, especially because the company dissolved its text reminder function at the end of 2023, where it could establish a date and time for alert. And although this was not a designated repetition characteristic, it could be used as one.
Some may ask why Google would introduce this specific function when Android phones have a comprehensive repetition function, but the messages would allow you to silence messages for longer periods of time instead of the two -hour Android limit.
It is official, the group chat links are arriving to Google messages
In recent weeks, more evidence of Google Messages Group Chat links has appeared, pointing to a WhatsApp function that allows you to unite group chats through linking links. Thanks to another of the disassembly of the Android authority, an interface of exchange of group chat links has been seen.
Similar to other messaging services, the messages will allow you to create invitation links that you can share in the link form or through a QR code that others can scan. Under the space where the QR code apparently appears, there is an alternative that can be able to enumerate the link only for singular use or one that can be reused and distributed. According to Android Authority, Links will expire after 30 days.
It is likely that we still have a time before Google display your group chat that joins, so it is better to be patient with it, but it cannot be denied that this will be a historical update for the messaging service. For now, at least you can take advantage of your new animations of emoji symbols and message detail menu.
