- A Google Photos redesign could be on their way
- A survey shows a new design with an approach to the search characteristics.
- It also makes the memories larger and rounds the edges of their photos.
According to a filtration of a recent survey, Google Photos could be about to obtain a design review, which could facilitate the administration of its snapshot library.
The details of an alleged Google survey were shared with Android Authority by a user on Telegram called @arfus_uwu, who sent a screen capture of two designs from Google Photos. One is the current design, and the other is a redesign, which is asked of the user to judge according to how modern or outdated 50s feel.
At first glance, the designs seem very similar, with only a couple of minor changes, such as making the edges of images more round and making the Google Photos action buttons a little larger, the last of which will appreciate or hate depending on the frequency with which you use memories.
However, some more subtle changes could make a big difference in Google Photos experience.
Great changes come?
In the first place, we can see that today’s header does not have a check mark next to it and instead shows what appears to be a filter icon. This means that, instead of being able to quickly select every photo he took that day, he could cut the snapshots you see based on criteria such as where they were taken and who is in the shot.
In the lower part, we can also see that the photo collections and the search tabs have been replaced by a floating search bar and an icon that seems to lead to its collections pages.
All these changes seek to optimize the process of finding a specific photo in the slightest amount of taps and landslides as possible.
Whether I love or hate the alleged redesign, remember to take this leak with a pinch of salt. Even if Google is doing surveys, there is the possibility that you do not copy the design of the survey exactly in its eventual deployment, you are probably testing a lot of different factors when requesting opinions.
Even so, we, for example, love the new aspect. Memories can be smaller, but the easy -to -access search bar and filter options are very useful, especially as Google’s AI improves intelligent search so you can locate the precise image you are describing, but you cannot detect in the roll of your camera regardless of how much it moves.
