- Reference points for Pixel 9A have appeared online
- Some, but not all, of the scores coincide with the pixel 9
- The phone could be launching at some point in this month
If the rumors we have heard so far turn out to be precise, we could see the official launch of the Google Pixel 9A from next week, and the new reference points that have appeared online give us an idea of the type of performance we can expect from it.
These reference points come from Tipster @karoulsahil (through Notebookcck), and presumably are of a device that is being tested somewhere, before complete revelation. Statistics include an ECTU score of 1,049,844 and Geekbench scores of 1,530 (a single nucleus) and 3,344 (multiple nuclei).
While this antutu score is in the same line as the existing Google Pixel 9 phones, which would expect, since it is predicted that Pixel 9A will execute the same G4 tensioner processor inside, Geekbench scores are somehow below the flagship phones that Google released last August.
There could be some reasons for this, with the primary with greater probability of being that it is a 9A Pixel software that executes the software prior to the launch that has not yet been correctly optimized. There may be some hardware settings that must still be done too.
Is the price correct?

Given the story of this medium -range telephone series, see our review of Google Pixel 8A, for example, it is unlikely that we are too surprised what Pixel 9A has to offer in terms of performance, when it finally appears.
In general, with these phones, internal specifications have been comparable to the emblematic models that were presented to them, while cost savings have been made in design and materials. That makes them a more affordable option if you do not want the most expensive pixels phones that Google has to offer.
As always, prices will be crucial. Pixel 8A was launched for an initial price of $ 499 / £ 499 / AU $ 849, and it seems that the 128 GB model of the Google Pixel 9a will coincide with that. However, we have also heard that the variant with 256 GB of storage will cost a little more than its predecessor.
It seems that there is a surprising design decision about the way we are going to have to accept: Google is apparently getting rid of the classic bulk of the pixel camera, so it will have a flatter back than the phones that came before.
