- Mobile notebook lists are now live
- The research application will soon reach Android and iOS
- Wait to listen to more news on Google I/O 2025 on May 20
After having hinted at the imminent arrival of a notebooklm application last month, Google has now put live the AI research application on Google Play Store and Apple App Store for mobile devices. You still can’t download it, but you can reserve it, and it gives us a good early vision of how the promising application is seen.
‘Predido’ The application means that it will be automatically downloaded on your phone when it is launched in its entirety, which according to the Apple App Store list (through 9to5google) is May 20, the same day that Google I/O 2025 begins, where we will undoubtedly hear more about this application.
If you have never found Notebooklm before, it is a resource tool that can collect information on documents, websites and more: you can get intelligent summaries, ask questions about data and even produce false podcasts (which you can interrupt, if you wish).
It seems that the application will include the creator of Podcast (or “General Audio Description”), based on screenshots in these listings. We can also see screens to add sources and for the conversation panel where you can chat over the sources with AI.
An alternative to Gemini
Google will undoubtedly give us the complete story about this application in a few weeks, but almost all the characteristics of the web application seem to have moved, including the ability to add notebooks and navigate through the notebooks that you have created on the web.
Notebooklm is a useful alternative to Google Gemini for those moments in which you need AI help with a specific set of material that has collected, perhaps a scientific research project or reports on a current industry trend.
According to my experience with the tool, it is usually more direct and serious than Gemini, and includes quotes with all your answers, so you can verify if you have made any mistake. It obtains higher use limits and more customization options in Notebooklm if you subscribe to a Premium plan from Google One AI.
It seems that there will be a lot of news of AI that will leave Google I/or 2025 as of May 20, including, perhaps, an update in the AI mode for the search, and of course we will bring all the ads as they are made.
