Google has eliminated the Google Pixel 6 of its online showcase, which means that you can no longer buy the most cheaper renewed pixel phone from Google directly.
Although Google has not given any official reason or announcement about the elimination of Pixel 6A, the action follows several reports of Pixel 6a phones overheating and even capturing fire.
Recently we reported that Google had issued the Pixel 6A with an update to try to stop the overheating intentionally limiting the load yield and battery life.
However, Android Authority reports that at least one Google Pixel 6a caught fire after the update was issued, so it is possible (but again, completely not verified) that Google is taking out the 6th pixel in response.
Although we cannot suggest that Google has taken the 6th pixel due to these reports, I still recommend avoiding the Google Pixel 6a when you buy in third -party retailers or in the second -hand market.

The Google Pixel 6A was launched in July 2022 as a cheaper version of the Pixel Board 6. Our Pixel 6A review indicated at the time when the battery life was a weak point for this middle -range phone, although we do not know if this is related to the problems currently informed.
In addition, Google is likely to avoid any controversy during the Pixel launch window 10 series: We expect complete revelations for the next generation flags of Google in Google presentation this year on August 20. The phones three years ago capture fire (ironically) would put some concrete in the celebrations.
