The Google TV interface has been with us for a long time in the technological years: it has barely changed since it was launched in 2020, Bar obtained some slightly more round icons last year. But now a more significant update appears on the televisions of some people and, according to 9to5google, things look quite different.
The first thing that will notice is that all the navigation buttons now live in the upper left corner of the screen, and there are fewer tabs than before: for you you are at home now and appears along with tabs for live and apps.
The profile selection button is at the left end and there is a new button to the right of the tabs for rapid access to screen screen settings. It is accessed to its observation and library list through the profile button, as well as its services and its content preferences. Those two previously lived in configuration> accounts and profiles.
What else are new in the updated Google TV interface?
The configuration menu is no longer visible on the home page, and for now we do not know where it will appear. There is also where Google Home lives lived, so it is quite important.
This looks a lot like a work in progress, because it does not seem wide: it seems that Google is in early tests with a few selected users instead of starting a deployment.
We know that there is more to come: Google is also bringing its home hub environmental center and its Gemini to the platform: as we report in January, it is obtaining a “considerable infusion” of intelligent intelligence of AI, improved characteristics of the photo gallery and better recommendations.
One of the interesting characteristics of Google TV that is entering is the feeling of presence, and the first TV that admits it is now available: the TCL QM9k is the first Google TV with Gemini, and its sensors can awaken the TV when someone enters the room to show them works of art, Google photos and images of the created by gemina.
