The daughter of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz lashed out at US President Donald Trump after he called Walz “retarded.”
In a since-deleted video on TikTok, the Democratic governor’s 24-year-old daughter criticized Trump, claiming that his comments have sparked a “damn shit storm regarding offensive language toward me, my family, and specifically my brother.”
The 47th president of the United States criticized the governor of Minnesota for the large influx of Somali immigrants in his Thanksgiving message. He also launched verbal attacks against Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, calling her the “worst congresswoman.”
Hope Walz said “damn Trump cult followers” attacked her family and asked, “What is normal for the president of the United States?”
He went on to say that his father is an elected official and can be criticized, adding, “It’s absolutely disgraceful that the President would do it. I have people texting me saying horrendous things.”
Hope said people now call them “disgusting, R-word insults” on the roads.
Governor Walz’s son, Gus, has a non-verbal learning disorder and also suffers from anxiety and ADHD. Hope said she had drawn the line with her brother, adding: “You guys are shameful. Shame on all of you.”
