Islamabad:
The Federal Government has decided to invite new expressions of interest (EOIS) on April 24 for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), providing a window of at least one month to national and international investors.
According to the Privatization Commission, the prequalification criteria have become stricter to ensure that only serious and credible investors participate in the process.
The plan implies the sale from 10% to 51% of PIA’s shares, and officials say that employee rights and current service structure will be safeguarding throughout the transition.
