The Minister of State for Law and Justice, Aqeel Malik, said that the Government will review its list of outlaw organizations with the assistance of US agencies, including the State Department.
He added that people linked to these groups could face travel restrictions from the United States.
Speaking on a private news channel the other day, here said that the Pakistani would not be subject to any prohibition of traveling.
“People do not need to worry that there is any prohibition of Pakistan visa or that the entrance is denied,” he said. “We are not seeing a direct prohibition that Pakistani enters the United States.”
He pointed out that both Pakistan and the United States must update their lists of prohibited organizations.
“The list of banned groups must be updated, and I am sure that the State Department will also update its own lists,” said Aqeel.
“We will share information with them, there is intelligence to share, and according to our list, they will update their lists on Pakistani organizations prohibited as well,” he said.
“If any individual maintains links with these organizations, their entry can be denied and their visas can be revoked.”
When addressing concerns, the minister reiterated that the common Pakistani would not face travel restrictions.
