The Punjab Cabinet has decided to send medicines and relief items to Parachinar on the request of the people of the area affected by law and order issues.
Chairing a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said a mobile healthcare unit would also be sent to meet the needs of the people of Parachinar.
He directed the authorities concerned to send relief goods to the people of Parachinar at the earliest. He added: “The town of Parachinar is ours. We cannot leave it alone in problems and difficulties.”
The Prime Minister also approved funds for the free supply of medicines in hospitals in the province.
The cabinet congratulated the Prime Minister on her successful visit to China. He said that the extraordinary welcome extended to the delegation in China was a matter of pride for the people of Punjab.” He added: “China has developed by making 1.6 billion people its strength. China’s development is an example to emulate. We too can achieve all that by working hard.”
He said: “You don’t even see a single piece of paper lying around in China’s schools, hospitals and roads. The Chinese people’s attitude of recognizing authority is worthy of imitation. There is an indescribable degree of harmony in the thoughts of the Chinese. people.” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, “I wish Punjab develops like China every day.”
He said Chinese investors were eager to invest in Punjab. Despite the holiday, the participation of representatives of big business organizations in the Punjab roundtable on Saturday is commendable, he added.
“Representatives of 60 large and prominent Chinese companies have expressed their willingness to invest in Punjab. A China-Punjab office has been approved,” he said.
The Prime Minister said: “Cancerous tumors can be removed with liquid nitrogen in a machine the size of an ultrasound. The latest Chinese technique for cancer treatment eliminates the need for chemotherapy.”
A pilot project of the Chinese cancer treatment technique will soon be started in a hospital in Punjab.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said, “I took a close look at the agriculture, IT, environment, education, health and other sectors during my visit to China, and I will take them to Punjab as well.”
He added, “Under the Punjab Clean Air Program approved with the support of the World Bank, multi-sector measures including electric buses, charging stations and super seeders will be introduced in the province.”
The provincial cabinet approved the completion of Pakistan’s first sustainable construction project.
The Prime Minister directed the authorities concerned to implement a farmer-friendly wheat release policy for this year.
The Cabinet approved the sugarcane cess (development) rates for the 2024-25 crushing campaign.
