Government will start working at Peshawar Safe City Project


Peshawar:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to start work in the Peshawar Safe City project.

According to official sources on Sunday, the project will officially begin after EID, with 700 cameras installed in 100 key locations throughout the city. In the second phase, the Safe City project will expand to the South districts, including Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan, where preliminary work has already been completed.

The project will come into operation in the next few days, improving security and surveillance in the region.

Background

In January 2023, the KP Police and a private consultant firm signed a contract for the Peshawar Safe City project that will be completed in five months.

KP Moazzam Jah Ansari, Director of Project Safe City Peshawar Waqar Ahmad, project consultants team and other promotions attended the ceremony.

The director of the Waqar Ahmad project and the CEO Carbonate PVT Jawad Ayub Baig signed the agreement.

It can be remembered that the Safe City Peshawar project aims to make Peshawar urban areas safe through technology -based deforms, including the installation of CCTV cameras.

The main objective of the project is to combat terrorism and other crimes, particularly street crimes, car lifting and motorcycle theft through the best use of the latest devices.

With the installation of high -resolution CCTV cameras, each point will be under police surveillance and it will not be possible for the law switches to escape the chamber’s eye.

Around 915 points have been identified in this project.

In addition to the 1,000 kilometer fiber optic cable, 25 LTE towers would be installed throughout the city. The KP C3 Police Integrated Command Control and Communication Center would be established at the East Cantt Police Station.

The outstanding characteristics of the mega project included surveillance, integrated emergency response.
