- New S2 driver for greater sonic subtlety
- New Grade B cushion to improve comfort and acoustic performance
- Lightweight and comfortable for long time listening
Grado makes some of the best wired headphones (and, as our Grado SR80x review shows, they don’t always have to drain your wallet), although their Signature models are incredibly attractive. And now a third model of the Signature range arrives, the Grado S750.
The main features here are a newly designed 50mm driver and an all-new ear cushion design, both created with audio enhancement in mind. And there are a number of improvements that should make them even more comfortable than their predecessors.
Signature S750 Grade: Key Features and Pricing
The S2 driver has been redesigned with a carbon-fiber-paper composite diaphragm and a lightweight aluminum-copper voice coil. The headphones have a nominal impedance of 38 ohms and offer a frequency range from low 6 Hz to 46 kHz.
In addition to the newly designed controller, there are also new ear pads, and their design isn’t just about comfort. They shorten the distance between your ear and the speakers and feature eight precision-cut slots to improve airflow and open up the soundstage. Grado says they provide a “new, distinctive feel” and reduce fatigue during longer listening sessions.
The new cushions come standard on the S750, but you can also purchase them separately. They are compatible with all current Grado wired headphones.
The S750s are lighter than their predecessors, weighing 460g (10% lighter than the HP100 SE) and have a slightly narrower but more padded leather headband. The construction is made of aluminum and, as with other Signatures, the cables are removable.
The S750 cable is a six-foot gold braided cable that connects through a 4-pin balanced mini XLR and terminates in a 6.35mm single-ended plug. Grado will be launching more cables and offering more terminator options soon.
The Grado Signature S750 headphones will be available from November 2025 priced at $1,695/£1,695 (approximately AU$3,470).
