Gus Kenworthy, a British-American Olympic skier representing Great Britain at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games, doubled down on his criticism of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Monday.

Kenworthy posted a graphic photo saying “F— ICE” in his urine while standing over the phrase. He said in the video posted on Instagram that he has received many “horrible” messages since sharing the photo.

He argued that it was important to “defend what we believe and defend justice.”

“I also think there’s a lot of nuance to this and I feel like sometimes people forget,” she said. “So I just want to remind everyone that you can love America and be proud to be an American (I am) and still think it can be better and still think the country can get better.

“And just because you love America doesn’t mean you stand with this administration and support their policies and their legislation and support the things that they support. Because I don’t support or support ICE. And I think it’s absolutely evil and horrible and terrifying. There have been American citizens who have been murdered in the street, executed in the street, and the officers essentially act with impunity because their identities are covered up.”

Kenworthy claimed that ICE agents were “racially profiling people, rounding up black and brown people and kidnapping them, putting them in unmarked vehicles, without a warrant or probable cause.”

“They’re being detained without any kind of due process. It’s crazy. It’s scary. And they’re sending people to countries they’re not even from. And American citizens are caught up in this.

“And I think the overwhelming majority of the people who are being attacked are good people, hard-working people who are non-violent and have no criminal records and who just came to America looking for a better life. And that is literally the fundamental story of America. We are a country of immigrants, and that is the American dream. And I think people sometimes forget that.”
