A man from Santa Clara who created a tool for the generation of Ia images that implemented hidden malware has been guilty of stealing more than 1.1 TB of internal data of the company after illegally accessing the Disney internal slack channels.
The hacker, Ryan Mitchell Kramer, who was called “Nullbulge” was accused of a charge of accessing a computer and obtaining information and a position to threaten to damage a protected computer, reported the United States prosecutor’s office for the Central District of California.
The incident had great scope consequences, and Disney chose to abandon the slack in favor of Microsoft teams after rape. More than 10,000 slack channels were involved in the incident, and confidential data that include internal communications and confidential information, such as images, source code and credentials, committed themselves.
A malicious program
According to the reports, Kramer accepted a guilt, declaring himself guilty of the two charges for serious crimes that each has a maximum legal sentence of five years in the federal prison, but has not yet been convicted.
The guilty agreement describes that at the beginning of 2024, Kramer “published a computer program on several online platforms, including Github, which sought to be a computer program that could be used to create art generated by Ia. In fact, the program contained a malicious file that allowed Kramer to obtain access to Victims computers.”
After the victim downloaded the malicious archive, Kramer agreed to Disney’s information through the victim’s personal computer, where he stored login credentials for personal and professional accounts.
After the hacker agreed to these accounts, he downloaded more than 1.1 TB of Disney data, which was then publicly launched together with the information of the victims, medical and personal information.
According to the report, the FBI is currently investigating the possibility of at least two victims most affected by similar Kramer attacks
