Hajj’s first flight from Pakistan to leave for Saudi Arabia today

Pakistan will begin its 33 -day Hajj flight operation on Tuesday, with six flights scheduled to leave for Saudi Arabia on the first day, state media reported on Monday.

This year, almost 89,000 Pakistani is expected to perform Hajj under the government scheme, while additional 23,620 will travel through private tourist operators. The annual pilgrimage will take place in June.

“The flight operation of the Hajj to the plane junk that intends the pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is starting [Tuesday]”Radio Pakistan said in his report.

The opening day, two flights will leave for Lahore and one from Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta and fine. The final flight under the government scheme will leave on May 31. Pilgrims traveling under the government scheme will be transported through a total of 342 flights.

Approximately 50,500 Pakistani pilgrims will benefit from the Makkah Route Initiative in Saudi Arabia, which speeds up immigration procedures by allowing travelers to complete their authorization in the airports of origin before leaving. The initiative, launched in 2019, is currently operational in Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco and Bangladesh.

Under the Makkah Route initiative, 28,000 pilgrims will depart from Islamabad and 22,500 Karachi. While the final global figures have not yet been confirmed, the projections suggest that Hajj 2025 could see record assistance of more than 2.5 million Muslims that meet for the pilgrimage.
