Haripur police warned against use of social media

HARIPUR:

Haripur police officers have been warned not to post videos in police uniforms or carry firearms online.

According to officials, Hazara Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nasir Mehmood Satti has decided to take action against those involved in creating TikTok videos and maintaining connections with criminal elements.

The DIG stated that corruption, involvement in crimes and associations with criminals will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Speaking at a police meeting in Haripur, the DIG emphasized that police officers and personnel assigned to development projects and industrial areas must remain on high alert at all times.

He urged officers to treat citizens visiting police offices with courtesy and to offer all possible legal assistance.

It also stated that self-promotion on social media platforms should be avoided and that departmental action will be taken against any employee who violates this directive.

During his visit to Haripur, DIG Nasir Mehmood Satti listened to the concerns of police employees and issued immediate directions for resolution of their problems.

He also visited the district police officer’s office, inspected the command and control room and reviewed various branches of the department, providing guidance and feedback on its operations.
