HBO announces the cast of the new ‘Harry Potter’ program

Following months of speculation, HBO has announced the distribution of the new program on Harry Potter.

Although it did not include a complete list of cast members, the network confirmed that John Lithgow will play Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer will play Minerva McGonagall.

Paapa Essiedu will play Severus Snape, Nick Frost will play Rubeus Hagrid, Luke Thallon will play the defense against the Dark Arts Professor Quirinus Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse will play the caregiver Hogwarts Argus Filch.

In addition, John’s casting was not a surprise, since he had previously revealed his new role to Screen screen.

“It was a total surprise for me. I received the phone call at the Sundance Film Festival for another film, and it was not an easy decision, because it will define me for the last chapter of my life, I fear,” he said.

“But I am very excited. Some wonderful people are making their attention to ‘Harry Potter.”

Meanwhile, Francesca Gardiner, the showrunner and director of the Mark Mylod series, said: “We are delighted to have such an extraordinary talent on board, and we cannot wait to see them take these beloved characters to a new life.”
