You heard correctly: HBO Max will launch in the UK on March 26, 2026. The launch month was confirmed as December 2025, but now we finally have the first details of what the new streaming subscription will look like.
Subscribers will have four monthly entertainment plans to choose from starting at £4.99 per month, which is cheaper than Netflix’s ad-supported tier priced at £5.99. Viewers can enjoy HBO Max’s full lineup of entertainment, including recently released movies.
Meanwhile, sports fans will be able to access or subscribe to a TNT Sports streaming subscription via HBO Max for £30.99 per month.
In the UK and Ireland, the service will be available directly through hbomax.com and through launch partners including Sky and Prime Video. Through the HBO Max app, Sky and NOW TV customers will have access to the new HBO Max streaming service (often with ads) as part of their existing subscription.
While existing franchises will likely remain available on all streaming services, HBO Max-exclusive content could be limited to the new app, but only time will tell.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m as excited as anyone for Euphoria season 3, Dragon House season 3 and the debut of Lanterns from DC studios. But Brits have been waiting to see HBO’s smash hit. The pit for more than a year.
Now, not only will you get all of the Season 1 episodes in one go, but March 26 is three weeks before Season 2’s planned final date of April 16.
As things stand, there’s an ongoing but subtle feud between Doctor Robby (Noah Wyle) and Doctor Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi), and everyone is treading on eggshells, including Santos (Isa Briones), who isn’t happy about the change in leadership.
But that’s not all. I am hopeful that the HBO-A24 partnership will mean successes like marty supreme, I’m sorry, baby and Materialists It will be much easier to access the other side of the pond.
Box office monsters like Superman, One battle after another, sinners, A Minecraft movie and Dune: Part One They are also included as part of the subscription.
Frankly, March 26 can’t come soon enough for my liking. I’ve been lucky enough to watch all of the above alongside American fans, and it’s time you did too.
