The white lotus I could have the best topic melody throughout television, so it is one of the few programs in which I will not skip the initial loans. That was until The white lotus Season 3 was broadcast in Max last night, and the new thematic melody not only did not capture the heights of its predecessor, but found pure disappointment of some fans of the award -winning series.
While I hope that Mike White’s third season will continue with the tendency to be one of Max’s best programs, his subject melody was iconic: the opening song of any other television program is very successful as the one in The white lotus Season 2. In fact, the melody of the theme of the second season was an altered version of the original found in season 1. That intelligent continuity was something that fans of the series expected to hear in episode one entitled ‘The same spirits, new forms’, but instead they found a more moderate and frankly disappointing theme melody.
The disappointment was documented in real time in Reddit, where a user created a thread that anticipated the beginning of the program entitled “More excited by the main song!”
The most excited about the main song! of R/Thewhitelotushbo
A few minutes after the new season, fans went into mass to the thread commenting how disappointed were with the new main song. A person said: “Not being dramatic, but the new main song has literally ruined all my weekend.” Another replied: “What is this! It surprised me as I continued unchanged, I was waiting for a needle fall to the last second.”
Another added: “My disappointment is immeasurable.” While a fan thought that the creators of the program were playing with the audience, “I think they are playing with that introduction to get our reactions. I wonder if it is a meta-game for the spectators to complain like the guests to The white lotus“
It is fair to say that I share a feeling similar to rather devastated Reddit users who yearn for The white lotus‘Opening credits. Throughout seasons 1 and 2, that melody of the theme was the source of many head bop in my living room, and the extended version of Cristóbal Tapia de Veer was one of my most listed songs on Spotify in 2022.

Attend
However, it’s just a song, right?
As I am based on the United Kingdom, I still have to do with the first two episodes of The white lotus Season 3, and although I am still excited by the new story and the cast, I cannot avoid feeling disappointed by the review of the subject.
Yes, the melody of the theme changed from one season to another, but it had continuity and a kind of remix element that made it feel very ‘The white lotus‘. This new song feels out of place, less than adapts during season 3, it is likely to begin to omit it like any other television program I see.
The white lotus The third season is set in Thailand and has a cast full of stars, including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lalisa Manobal de Blackpink and Natas Rothwell.
I am still excited to see the new season tonight, although I hope it is humming in the ‘looloolooooooooooo’ of the old thematic melodies while clicking on the game.
The first two episodes of The white lotus Season 3 are being transmitted in Max in the United States, Sky and now in the United Kingdom, and Foxtel and binge in Australia.
