Islamabad:
The Islamabad Police said Tuesday, having arrested the main suspect for the murder of the popular Tiktoker healthy Yousuf within 20 hours of the incident, saying that the adolescent was murdered for repeatedly rejecting the advances of the suspect.
According to the police, the murder occurred in an exclusive area of the capital, where a masked and armed assailant entered his house at night and opened fire before fleeing from the scene.
Sana was urgently taken to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to her wounds.
Initially, the police described the incident as an objective murder and accelerated their investigation. According to the Inspector General of the Islamabad Police, Ali Nasir Rizvi, the authorities used modern technology, including CCTV and geographical images, to track the movements and telephone activity of the suspect.
When calling it a high profile case with significant public pressure, the IG declared that the officials responsible for enforcing the law worked tirelessly and made the arrest using all the resources available. According to the reports, the arrested individual has confessed during the initial interrogation, and the police have recovered the weapon used in the crime along with the victim’s mobile phone. A case has been registered, and officials say that the charges will soon be submitted to the court.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Police for his speedy action, saying that the resolution shows that there is no place for illegality in the country.
Meanwhile, social networks users have reacted strongly, demanding justice and the hardest possible punishment for the author. The followers and supporters of healthy Yousuf have appealed to the government for exemplary action to deter such crimes in the future.
Police ensure that the case is handled as a model investigation and that the judicial procedures will be issued to deliver justice to the victim’s family.
Coming with Chitral, Sana was a popular Tiktok star. His body was transferred to the Institute of Medical Sciences of Pakistan (Pims) for a post mortem exam.
Initially, the police said they were investigating the incident but that they have not yet been able to stop the suspect.
They also said that the suspect could have been invited in the victim’s house at the time of murder.
“The suspect entered the house, fired multiple shots and then fled the scene,” police said.
Sympathies and convictions arrived after the brutal murder.
“A young woman healthy Yousaf full of dreams, hope and courage was simply silenced to dare to exist online. Her presence in social networks was found violently, and her life was stolen in cold blood. She deserved to live. To prosper. To speak. We must cry it. And we must assume,” said an interim.
