A “bad merchant always blames his tools” is undoubtedly a family phrase (although the common writing is “worker”, but we are now 2025). The point is that if you have recently had a merchant in your home to do some work, you may have noticed that if you are good in your work, they surely had high quality tools. These top -level tools help them do that job well: it does not paint expansive living room with an old and mistreated brush that has used sows.
Similarly, if you are a serious PC player, an electronic sports professional, even or an aspiring professional, do not use the standard swamp mouse that you have at work for your games in Valorant or League of Legends. You select a top -level games mouse that allows you to play to the maximum extension of your abilities, and when it comes to such peripherals, there are clear reasons to go with Logitech G.
The reasons that have meant the best electronic sports teams such as NAVI, G2 eSports, equipment and BDS perrects are equipped with Logitech G. hardware. These are attire that have obtained great victories, such as the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 where Navi beat the Faze clan, to choose an example of many.
Logitech G has made some revealing advances with its games mice in recent times, as part of an impulse to make these peripherals the fastest and most receptive, all of which is linked to the magical number eight, curiously.
8/88/888 – Victory Numbers
What is special at eight, then? Before that explanation, it is useful to outline a quick background here. Since Logitech G introduced its heroes sensor, the sensor is the mouse engine, the component that sees and tracks the user’s movements with the device, and the company took out its first light -speed games mouse in 2016, it has been in a mission to develop faster and precise games mission.
That ambition has resulted in a series of updates of the original hero sensor to Hero 25K, which culminated in the Hero 2 sensor, each of them is more precise and receptive than the previous one.
More recently, at the end of 2024, the Hero 2 sensor benefited from what Logitech G called its ‘8/888 updates’ and yes, those are the aforementioned Magic. What that collection of eight is referred to is the sensor update update in three ways: with a photograms speed high enough to admit an 8 kHz voting rate, capable of tracking 88 g acceleration rates, and more than 888 inches per second.
Eight of thanks
Break down those technological specifications ‘8/88/888’ could deepen many frankly unnecessary technical weeds. That said, it is clearly worth examining these specifications in some detail, starting with that 8 kHz voting rate.
The survey rate simply refers to the number of times per second that the games mouse informs its position to the PC in which it is connected. 8 KHz means 8,000 reports of the position of the mouse every second, or to look at it in another way, eight information packages on where the mouse is located, and other actions, apart from the movement, such as the click of the buttons, each millisecond is sent. That is key to achieving a very low level of latency, which can facilitate the most accurate monitoring of the position of the mouse in any given game (depending on the data provided to the game that have a higher level of precision).
And that ultra-low latency is increased by the second figure, which is 88 and this refers to the update of hero 2, which allows the sensor to cope with an acceleration of up to 88 g (F-Force). To put that in perspective, a combat pilot can experience up to 9 g during the acrobatic maneuvers, so this is almost 10 times that level. What this means in practice is that, for faster, the Logitech G mouse is hit around the mousepad in fast action situations, with, for example, aim at a shooter, offers a lower latency and a more consistent experience with the Hero 2 sensor compared to rival products.
Then there is the third figure that refers to 888 inches per second (IPS) monitoring. This denotes the gross speed in which any given mouse is able to operate, in other words, quickly sweeping through the mousepad without losing any information. The 888 IPS of Hero 2 is remarkably the highest in the industry, and Logitech G states that it is 20% faster than the nearest rival games mouse, easily fast enough for even the best Echelon Pro players.
Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouses
At this point, if it is sold about the idea of a Logitech G mouse as the ideal partner to help promote their professional game ambitions, your next question could be: What particular model should you buy?
The upper level of Logitech G games mice that has the mentioned hero 2 sensor (now furnished with that important update 8/88/888) are the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2, Pro X Superlight 2 Dex and the speed light lights.
(Although taking into account that pro 2 Lightspeed does not come with an 8 kHz survey as a standard: it has 1 KHz by default, but it can update 8 KHz buying the Lightse Lightseve speed receiver separately).
As indicated by the name, these are the options of professional players when it comes to the alignment of Logitech G, and all are mice of wireless games. So, if you don’t like the feeling of an attached cable when it comes to fast movies to break a fast -headed shot, you don’t have to worry about that.
In addition, if you are worried about a wireless connection in some way not to be as robust or receptive as a wiring cable, it is not. Logitech G has worked hard to guarantee a reliable wireless connection with its game mice, and its light speed peripherals are thoroughly tested in a complete RF validation process (radiofrequency). These products are designed not only to function well at home, but also to deal with dense wireless environments as a LAN tournament in a huge sand environment.
With all these Logitech G Pro Series mice, it also obtains wireless load (when combined with the PowerPlay system) and memory profiles on board to save its configuration. There is also RGB lighting and an ambid signs with the Light Pro 2 speed.
There are, of course, other games mice in the logitech G range, including the popular Logitech G502 X Plus as another premium option. There are also alternative options for those with more strict budgets, such as Speed Lightch G309 Logitech G309, which is a low -cost game mouse very well considered.
If you are a professional player, or expect to be a day, or maybe you have a highly competitive mentality when it comes to your online games, Logitech G has covered you with mice that deliver in terms of speed, response capacity and precision, not to mention reliability.
