Hiran mine in Sheikhupura becomes a new tourist center


The Secretary of Tourism and Archeology of Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, has announced the completion of the main projects aimed at transforming the historic Hiran Minar in Sheikhupura into a new tourism center.

He said that the provincial government is working to improve historical sites with modern facilities to improve the experience of national and international visitors.

According to Dr. Bhutta, a floating-y-restaurant spring has been developed in Hiran Minar, offering visitors the unique experience of navigation and food simultaneously. The project was completed in collaboration with the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (TDCP).

In addition, he declared that, with the support of the Department of Silvestre, a mini zoo is being established on the site, where around 30 deer and wild sheep of Changa Manga are being relocated. To promote ecological mobility, 15 bicycles and electric golf cars have been provided for a three -kilometer long trip inside the complex.

Dr. Bhutta also revealed that the first route of the two -story tourist bus service has been completed, connecting the Waris Shah sanctuary with Hiran Minar. In the second phase, Jandiala Sher Khan’s historic Bohli and the Fort Sheikhupura will be added to this route.

In collaboration with the Sheikhupura Arts Council, live performances of the classic Punjabi epic See In the Waris Shah Sanctuary and the folk music events of local artists in Hiran Minar will also organize. In addition, barbecue facilities will be available for families with a nominal position to encourage a healthy recreational environment.

Dr. Ehsan Bhutta emphasized that these initiatives will help establish Sheikhupura as a new tourist center in Punjab, promoting the local economy and creating new employment opportunities for the community.
