At least one person died and another was seriously injured in a North Carolina House fire linked to NASCAR star Denny Hamlin, officials said Monday.
The fire broke out at a home in Stanley around 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, prompting emergency responses from Gaston and Lincoln counties, according to Queen City News.

TO Fire officer on scene. He said everyone was outside the house when emergency personnel arrived on the scene. Two people were rushed to hospital. The identities of the victims were not immediately identified.
“We are grateful for the multi-agency response and ask that the public pray for the affected family and our first responders in fire, GEM and police,” the Lucia-Bend Fire Department said in a statement to the outlet.

The house is related to the Hamlin family, according to property records. Hamlin is listed as a manager of the real estate company that owns the home. The house belongs to his parents, according to WCNC-TV.
Firefighters said the home was a complete loss, as the fire took approximately two hours to extinguish.
Hamlin is a decoration nascar driver. He has 60 Cup wins and recently came up short in his quest for a NASCAR championship.

He is co-owner of 23XI Racing, which is based in Huntersville, North Carolina, about 23 miles from Stanley.
