Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the Ramadán 8070 2025 help package, an RS20 billion initiative to support low -income families in Pakistan before the Holy Month of Ramzan.
The scheme aims to provide 4 million eligible families with cash assistance from RS10,000, as well as subsidies in essential foods, through a simplified digital distribution system. This system is designed to replace long lines in public service stores that were previously seen during Ramadan.
Two level relief initiative
The Ramadan 8070 relief package consists of two components:
Cash assistance: Eligible families will receive RS10,000 in direct financial aid to help with household expenses during Ramadan.
Rationing subsidy: Discounts in essential foods, such as flour, sugar, legumes, ghee and rice will be provided.
To qualify for the 8070 Ramzan Relief package, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Eligibility criteria for Ramadan Help package
Be registered under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) or the EHSAAS program.
Do not receive financial help from any other government aid program.
Possess a valid national identity card (CNIC).
Registration process
Eligible people can apply through the official PSER portal by entering their CNIC and mobile phone number and completing the registration form. Alternatively, applicants can send their CNIC number through SMS to 8070 to verify eligibility and receive more instructions.
Disbursement of funds
To guarantee a distribution without problems of the funds, the government has introduced multiple disbursement channels:
- Bank transfers: the funds will be transferred directly to HBL, UBL and Bank Alfalah.
- Mobile wallets: beneficiaries can access funds through Easpaisa and Jazzash.
- EHSAAS Programs Centers: Those without bank accounts can raise their help from the designated centers of EHSAAS.
- Offices of the Council of the Union: the final verification and the collection of funds are available in the local government offices.
The Government has urged eligible families to complete their registration as soon as possible to avoid delays in receiving assistance. With the registration deadline that is approaching, it is encouraged to early registration to guarantee the timely disbursement of the funds.
In an official statement, the Prime Minister’s office stressed: “The Ramadan 8070 help package is designed to relieve the financial burden of families with difficulties and ensure that they have access to essential food supplies during Ramzan.”

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Ramadan package in the Federal Capital, revealed that this year, four million families (approximately 20 million people) will receive RS 5,000 per home through a digital wallet.
He thanked Allah and said: “This year, inflation during Ramadan is lower compared to previous years. The government has assigned a significant amount of 20 billion RS for the Ramadan package, which will benefit 4 million Pakistani households.”
