Like the book, the 2026 Lord of the Flies TV show explores the themes of civilization versus savagery, the loss of innocence, and the hunger for power.
The story revolves around survival, where a plane crashes on a remote island and a group of schoolchildren must survive without adults around. At first, everything seems to be going well and the group is led civilly by Ralph and Piggy.
However, Jack’s hunger for power disturbs the newfound peace. He forms his own tribe and spreads fear in the name of a mysterious “beast.” The group gradually turns violent, throwing rational thought out the window. What follows is absolute savagery and tragedy.
Written by Jack Thorne (Adolescent), the music of lord of the flies has been composed by Hans Zimmer, Cristóbal Tapia de Veer and Kara Talve, some of the biggest names in storytelling and musical composition.
