- The long -awaited Philips AI assistant is now available in some countries
- It will be launched in the United Kingdom in July, already worldwide at the end of August
- The Philips Hue Play Wall Light light is on sale today in the United States and the United Kingdom
If you want to have more fun with your intelligent lights, there is good news: the long -awaited Philips Hue AI assistant is finally here, allowing you to choose lighting scenes or create new with simple voice commands. It means, the company behind Philips Hue, mocked the assistant for the first time in January, and last week, some iPhone users found early access, but the launch is now official.
The wizard is now available for users in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, whose application is established in English, and will be implemented with Hue users in the United Kingdom in July. According to Signify, the global launch is planned by the end of August.
With the AI assistant, you can say or write what kind of lighting effect would you like to see, or what mood you want to establish, and the application will suggest something of your existing prejustment gallery, or create something new if there is nothing that fits the bill.
Clean sweep
That is not all: Signify has also launched a new lamp that bathes its walls with a light gradient. We had our first glance at the Philips Play Play wall washing machine earlier this month when it appeared on Amazon before its official launch date.
It is now available to buy, and despite measuring only 3.6 x 3 x 6.2 inches / 9.1 x 7.6 x 15.7cm (which is even smaller than the Philips Hue light bar), promises to soak up its entire wall with a soft gradient of colored light that can be customized through a 3D dragging interface in the application, which allows it to establish the direction and brightness of the room light.
The wall washing machine works with Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box or Hue Sync Desktop App for PC, which allows you to synchronize the lighting effects with movies, television programs and games.
Alternatively, you can use it alone or synchronize with other intelligent philips hue lights to help create a mood. Use the same colorcast light system as the Philips Hue Twilight lamp (one of the best smart lights we have tried), projecting a soft gradient on nearby surfaces. The following video gives you an idea of the general effect.
The wall washing machine also seems attractive when it goes out. Unlike the hue game light bar, which has a plastic box, the wall washing machine is finished in black or white Matt aluminum.
The wall washing machine is now available in the United States and the United Kingdom, with a price of $ 219.99 / £ 169.99 for a single light, or $ 384.99 / £ 299.99 for a package of two. It will be launched in Australia in September, but official prices have not yet been announced.
