Jimmy Hart, Hulk Hogan’s The old friend and former manager, was surprised by the news of the death of the wrestling icon this week, revealing that he had heard good news about Hogan’s health only one day before his death.

“I called [Hogan] Wednesday night, and then Thursday morning is when everything took place, “Hart told The exit. “So … just at night, everything happened, but it was very positive the day before.”

According to reports, Hogan underwent neck surgery earlier this year, the last in a long list of surgeries that include at least 25. Hart said he had not seen his friend for concern about his recovery.

Hart told People that he had seen Hogan last approximately one month before his death, and that he had been in a good mood talking to fans.

“Well, tell him I love him,” Hart recalled the final message he shared with Hogan’s assistant.
Wednesday’s initial reports indicated that Hogan suffered a medical emergency at home in Florida Thursday morning.
The Clearwater police department later confirmed that emergency personnel responded to a medical call just before 10 in the morning at the Hogan residence. He was treated on the site by cardiac arrest before being transported to the Morton Plant hospital, where he was declared dead.
The news of Hogan’s death came weeks after he was alleged that he had a health crisis. However, his wife, Sky Daily, denied those reports at that time, saying that he was “strong” and that he was recovering from surgeries.

Like Hart, he published a statement on Friday morning revealing his surprise for his “sudden” death.
“I was not ready for this … And my heart is in pieces,” said his message. “I had been dealing with some health problems, but I really thought we would overcome them. He had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”
