“He was a good man. He was special. He loved the president and obviously loved the United States.”
White gave credit to Hogan, Muhammad Ali, Don King and the world of sports and sports entertainment of that time to help shape UFC today.
“The way the UFC is today and the things I have done to build it have a small part of all those types and their businesses,” White added.
Clearwater police said the officials were called to an emergency of cardiac arrest in Hogan’s house. The professional fighter was transported to a hospital and died about an hour later. Hogan was 71 years old.
Hogan’s death sent waves worldwide from sports entertainment. White was just one of the dozens of people who paid tribute to the WWE icon throughout the day.
“WWE saddens the member of the WWE Hall of Fame, Hulk Hogan, died,” WWE said in a statement. “One of the most recognizable figures of pop culture, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s.

Hogan was a bigger character than life that changed the professional struggle several times; First, when he criticized Andre, the giant in Wrestlemania III, and again, when he turned on the wrestling fans and aligned with the new world order in the fight of the world championship.
