- Big Carplay Currentations adds a series of useful functions
- Hyundai shows your next -generation information and entertainment system
- Tesla will probably not be very happy
It has been a week of bumper for automotive information and entertainment updates, with Hyundai launching its pleos software brand, patented vehicles and open application development program, while Apple launched iOS 18.4 that brought a series of updates to Carplay.
Interestingly, the Hyundai Motor Group has been working together with Google to perform its next -generation operating system, taking advantage of the Android Automotive operating system to create a more “similar to a smartphone” experience for users.
Due to the deployment in the second half of next year, Pleos Connect presents the next voice assistant from Gleo Ai de Hyundai, as well as an approach to multiple windows of ‘divided vision’.
It seems disturbingly as the Tesla interface, even to the icon of the vehicle and the ability to open doors and the trunk. Don’t tell Elon.
Pleos Connect is part of a broader Hyundai unit to move towards the space of the defined true software vehicle (SDV), which sees all the electrical architecture and the redesigned and refined sensor so that all parts of the vehicle can be updated on the air.
Chang Song, the man in charge of all SDV things in the Hyundai Motor Group, says that the Pleos platform admits “all moving devices” to move autonomously and be administered intelligently. It will connect transport and infrastructure, helping in the next generation of autonomous vehicles, both passengers and logistics vehicles.
Another part of the song master plan is to develop what he refers to as “murderous applications”, which is a reference to the unique software that benefits the end user in such a degree, has customers who go to the Hyundai product to make the most of it.
Pleos Playground will allow mobile applications developers of the world to freely access the final points of automotive software, providing software development kits, analysis and support tools to create applications that can be distributed through the Hyundai application market.
Apple expands Carplay’s offer … literally
As reported above, Apple recently introduced a third row of applications to select Carplay users with larger information and entertainment screens, but this feature has now been implemented beyond its beta stage.
This cuts more application icons on the screen, which should reduce the amount of sliding that is required, particularly for those who like to hurry all applications.
In addition to this, the recent update of iOS 18.4 also presents an API that allows selected sports applications developers to deliver live scores and coincide the updates of a designated part of the screen, although we still do not see how it looks in nature.
Naturally, this will not include the outstanding aspects of video repetition, but it is an orderly way to stay aware of the results as they enter.
Finally, Apple Carplay users in Europe can finally change their default Maps predetermined navigation application, which means that Siri’s simple commands will open automatically in Google Maps, WAZ or what you select as a favorite in the configuration menu.
