The Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interreligious Harmony, the Kesoo Mal Kheal Das revealed in the National Assembly on Friday that his ministry did not give him information about the issues related to the Hajj, surprising the legislators during the session of the time of the question.
He promoted Vice President Ghulam Mustafa Shah to look for an explanation for Monday, ordering the minister to formally ask why he was not informed.
Kheal Das, which belongs to the Hindu community, expressed its disappointment in the Assembly, stating that the Ministry of Religious Affairs did not consider it “worthy” to be informed about the Hajj operation.
“I apologize for not answering questions related to the HAJJ and the Ministry,” said the Minister of State by assuring the public that he would fulfill his responsibilities when addressing his concerns.
Vice President Shah rebuked the Secretary of Religious Affairs for not taking Parliament seriously, ordering the minister to obtain detailed information from his ministry. “As a State Minister, you are responsible for answering questions related to your ministry,” Shah said, instructing Kheal Das to ask the Ministry in writing why he was not informed.
The vice president warned about a strict action against the secretary and other officials if on Monday did not provide a satisfactory response, and added that the formal instructions would also be issued from the Secretariat of the National Assembly to guarantee compliance.
Canting Dapoly for not being able to answer questions, Kheal Das said he already transmitted to his ministry officials that they had given him a portfolio of state religious affairs by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that he was totally responsible for answering all the questions asked in the Chamber.
“My priority will be to attend Parliament and answer questions,” said Kheal Das, asking the attached speaker to postpone the questions until he receives information about the problems that arise in the Assembly. “It must be conceived that he [Kheal Das] He is Hindu and cannot answer questions related to religious affairs, “he said on the floor of the house.
“Despite being Hindu, I assure myself that it is my duty to answer these questions,” he continued, and added that he would do his duties as a minister to facilitate people in Hajj operations. During his interaction with the vice president, Kheal Das revealed that the Minister of Religious Affairs and interreligious harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf had gone to perform Umrah.
