I-Day prepares rhythm in twin cities

With the beginning of August, the preparations for the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan have begun with enthusiasm in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The streets, markets and shopping centers are full of the sale of green crescent flags, badges and patriotic goods that include clothing, hair bands, keys and more. Temporary positions are established in the neighborhoods, with the sounds of the national songs that fill the air. Government buildings such as the Presidency, the House of Parliament, the Supreme Court and the main markets are adorned with colorful lights and rays. Flag hair ceremonies will be carried out in the Superior Court, the District Bar Association, the Adiala prison, the Universities and the Education Board. The central ceremony in Rawalpindi will take place in the Waqar-Unisa Girls College government at 9 am, where federal and provincial ministers will raise the flag. Cultural programs, manifestations and exhibitions are also scheduled. In particular, the traditional fireworks of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid in Lal Haveli will not take place this year.
