- Alderon Games founder Matthew Cassells reports alleged liquid metal problems in PS5
- This was previously discredited, but multiple Alderón players’ Way of the Titans They have reported the same problems
- This comes in the midst of the accumulation of GTA 6The launch of May 26, 2026
Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 6 It is closer to a launch date established for May 26, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. However, the recent rumors of the old console and their supposed hardware problems have left me a little worried about whether the PS5 systems will survive until then.
As reported by WCCFTEC, the founder of Alderon Games (an independent games developer), Matthew Cassells, highlighted a recurring problem of PS5 closures of the players and staff of the staff of the Way of the Titans game. In particular, Cassells’s claims about Moore’s law are dead (through YouTube) that game blockages come from liquid metal overheating problems.
Many players maintained this suspicion about the PS5 in recent years, with suggestions that placing their console vertically would make the liquid metal escape and leave dry spots on the APU of the console. This was discredited, but the concerns have now resurfaced, with more users now expressing frustrations about steep console closures.
This is possibly the worst time for these reports to resurface, such as GTA 6 It is ready for launch next year. It may seem a long path ahead, but it will arrive at the consoles soon than we expect, and if you have a PS5 like me, listen about these problems could again be worried.
GTA 6 It does not come to PC (at least at launch), and it is not expected to come to the platform for one year or more. The only players in the clear (if these problems of liquid metal are legitimate) are the owners of Xbox, and I am not one of them. As much as it is pumped by the long -awaited rockstar title, it would be difficult to buy another PS5 console, especially with recent price fluctuations.

ANALYSIS: Simply place your PS5 horizontally to be on a safe side …
Fortunately, I have not encountered any problem with my PS5 since I bought it on the day of the launch in 2020. I will also notice that I have never placed it vertically in any unit or TV desk, so if there is any legitimacy in liquid metal problems, my system is likely to have been safe.
There is also an additional advantage of less accumulation of dust when placed horizontally, and I can attest to this, since I have barely seen dust in my PS5. So, my advice is to avoid leaving your console standing, just to be sure.
I must point out that there is no guarantee that these reports of liquid metal problems are really precise, but I prefer to proceed with caution, just in case. We have waited more than a decade for GTA 6. It will have spent 13 years when it lashes, and would hate seeing that my console would rush me in its most important phase.
GTA 6 (As of today) it is the most anticipated game of all time in my books, so we hope that our systems do not fuck us.
