- The Shark ChillPill is a small but powerful portable misting fan
- It also has a small cooling plate for instant pulse point relief.
- It’s available to buy now for $149.99 in the US or £129.99 in the UK.
Shark just launched a new personal fan that you can carry with you, clip to your bike, use at the gym, or even use it for quick relief on hot days. The battery-powered Shark ChillPill keeps you cool with high-speed airflow and a “dry touch mist” that evaporates on contact with your skin for a quick cooling sensation.
It works on the same principle as the Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo: a cordless portable fan designed to be used indoors or outdoors, which we give four stars out of five.
Like the FlexBreeze HydroGo, the ChillPill displaces a large amount of air for its size and is assisted by two misting modes: constant and interval. My colleague Ruth Hamilton already experienced its cooling power in a practical demonstration and found it very effective despite its compact size.

“During my hands-on time I was impressed with the function of the fan (although it’s small, it packs a decent punch when it comes to airflow) and I also loved the idea of being able to spray myself on the go,” she said.
However, her favorite feature was the InstaChill cooling plate, which immediately reduces skin temperature when you want quick relief.
“It instantly dropped to an impressively cold temperature, and holding it against your pulse points (neck, wrists) was immediately refreshing,” he said. “I can imagine it being absolutely dreamy during a heat wave, perhaps for use in tight situations like a sweaty subway train.”
ChillPill is now available to purchase directly from Shark for $149.99 in the US or £129.99 in the UK. I’ll put it to the test soon and bring you a full review once I find out how it fares at home, in the office, and in particularly sweaty situations like a tough spin class.
