- Mammotion has introduced a new flagship series LUBA 3 AWD
- It offers ±1cm positioning accuracy through an enhanced LiDAR, RTK and Vision navigation system.
- Also make decisions almost instantly with a 10 TOPS AI chip
I’m at CES 2026, where Mammotion unveiled its 2026 range of autonomous lawnmower robots. The LUBA 3 AWD series is at the top of the line and is one of the most capable lawn robots on the market.
We are covering all the latest news. CES news of the program as it happens. Stay with us for the big stories on everything from 8K From foldable TVs and screens to new phones, laptops, smart home devices and the latest in artificial intelligence.

The updates to the LUBA 3 appear to be iterations of the already excellent technology that powers devices like the LUBA 2. For example, the Tri-Fusion navigation system has been improved and now offers ±1cm positioning accuracy. There’s all-wheel drive (the AWD in the name) to traverse the trickiest terrain, including a very steep grade in the CES hall (scroll down to see).
The Tri-Fusion system combines three different technologies: LiDAR (the primary navigation system), RTK (to improve position accuracy), and AI Vision (to recognize and avoid objects) to ensure the robot always has a method to orient itself.
All three technologies have had an upgrade in the LUBA 3. There is now 360-degree horizontal LiDAR coverage and 59-degree vertical coverage, scanning up to 330 feet. This provides the robot with millions of data points, which it can use to create a live 3D map of your garden, from the grass to the treetops.
Previous versions come with an RTK base that needs to be installed separately from the mower and charging station, but the LUBA 3 AWK has a NetRTK module inside the lawn robot itself, saving you extra hassle. (And of course, there’s no need for cables.)
Finally, there is AI Vision ‘UltraSense’, powered by dual 1080P cameras and an AI 10 TOPS chip. That chip can handle 10 trillion operations per second, meaning it can make decisions incredibly fast.
All of this is to help the robot react almost instantly to its environment, including reading the terrain and recognizing up to 300 obstacles, even in low light. This not only ensures that garden toys are not mowed, but also means that the lawn robot can calculate the fastest and safest routes in real time. Oh, and of course, there are cliff sensors to ensure you don’t try to take a dip in your pool or pond.
Climbing the heights
He All-wheel drive is borrowed from previous models and ensures that the lawn robot can handle slopes of up to 80% (38.6°). I watched him go up and down a mini mountain of artificial turf in the demo room and he never slipped or faltered.
It can also handle uneven terrain and, since all the wheels work independently, it can turn cleanly without stirring up the grass. This model also has an improved suspension, so it can ride smoothly over curbs or roots up to 3.15 inches high.
Elsewhere, there’s a 15.8-inch cutting width across two six-blade discs, two 165W high-torque motors and a 15Ah battery. Mammotion says it can mow up to 7,000 square feet per hour or up to 1.75 acres per day, and there’s a new smart energy management system that gives users more control over the lawnbot’s energy use: you can now set charging limits and schedule off-peak charges to reduce costs. It is available in all the latest series.
There are four different models included in the LUBA 3 AWD series, targeting different grass sizes, with prices starting at €2,299 / $2,299. They just went on sale in the UK and EU, and will be available in the US later in 2026.
