- Spotify celebrates 10 years of Discover Weekly by deploying two new updates
- Together with a new design renovation, discover weekly reproduction lists now has gender control functions
- The new updates have begun to be implemented
Spotify’s Discover Weekly Playlist was the first personalized music discovery function of the platform, and only has two new updates for premium subscribers to celebrate its tenth anniversary, including a very necessary gender filter function.
Since 2015, Discover Weekly has been one of the most used characteristics of the music transmission service for the new music discovery, and has been the historical characteristic of Spotify, racing the way for functions such as the days of days and the DJ of AI.
With weekly updates that show him a variety of new songs and artists, Spotify has described it as ‘the playlist that makes Monday something’. While Discover Weekly has never been my reference function, it cannot be denied that the game has changed with a new music discovery in Spotify, and its new update makes it an even more personal experience.
New appearance, new gender filters
To start, Discover Weekly has a new visual update that stands out from other playlists in its center of Made for You, such as its launch radar. In addition to the weekly updates of the playlist, their graphics will also be updated every Monday, giving it a new aspect each time, but this is not the only exciting update.
Before implementing at Discover Weekly, Spotify brought subgenre filter functions to Site songs, an off -line backup play list and a new release center. Now discover that Weekly receives the same treatment.
In the new update, you can now use new control functions at the top of your Discover weekly playlist, allowing you to look for up to five different genres depending on your listening history. Based on the genre you select, this will generate a 30 -track playback list to get closer to your next song or favorite artist.
As mentioned, Discover Weekly is not one of those characteristics in Spotify that has been able to attract me: I don’t think I used it since it was first launched 10 years ago.
But one of my favorite additions to Spotify is the subgenre control function, which constantly use in other reproduction lists and centers, and now that he has found a new home at Discover Weekly, I will have to rethink.
How to discover Discover Weakly
Before immersing yourself in your recently updated Discover reproduction list, be sure to have the latest version of the Spotify application installed. If you do, you are free to dive directly.
Go to the Search Center in the Spotify application, and from there, move down and touch your hub for your center. Once inside, move down until you see the section entitled Discover New Music, which will show your launch radar and discover weekly reproduction lists. Touch Discover Weekly and begins your trip to a new musical discovery.
