- The last Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Trailer appeared in Nintendo Direct yesterday
- The trailer presents psychic skills for Samus, as well as a new suit update
- The game is still on the way to a launch window ‘2025’
We have a fresh trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond In the last direct presentation of Nintendo, and I think it is emerging as a follow -up worthy of the original prime trilogy.
In the last trailer, the protagonist Samus Aran lands on a strange planet called Viewros, inhabited by hostile alien creatures, as well as a race that seems versed in psychic powers. These powers are also granted to Samus, which allows him to interact with the environment and combat enemies in several new ways.
We see Samus use their new psychic skills to transport orbs to mechanisms to feed open devices and doors. But most importantly (and incredibly), you can use these powers to slow down and manually guide their lightning shots through enemies. Does it seem over? Of course, but maybe not at the Hypermode level was in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

These psychic skills seem to be the main trick in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, following Prime 3’s Power of Fazón and Prime 2’s Clear and dark mechanics. He really only saw us brief in the trailer, so I hope they are useful for more than just open doors and enter a bullet.
Enjoying the views
However, one thing that is clear is that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond It seems to be pushing the switch hardware to its limits. The environments are beautiful with impressive and glorious details Skyboxes. It seems that it also has 60 FPS quite stable, which has been a crucial performance factor in all the main games to date.
I also have to thank the soundtrack, which is definitely capturing that feeling of isolation in which the main games have always been excellent. Combat music is also wild and chaotic, creating an intentionally discordant sensation when they get you from the smell of the roses and in the agitated battle.
Finally, the trailer ends with a look at one of Samus’s new costume updates. His varying suit acquires an elegant red and black aesthetic with purple accents. It is a very striking aspect, but it is not clear what skills this suit will enable. Presumably, it will help reinforce your new psychic powers or provide ways to cross better through dangerous environments.
There is still no solid launch date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond So far, however. But the trailer confirms that the game is still on the way to a 2025 launch. Hopefully, it will end up being a launch title for Nintendo Switch 2, since many speculate.
