- The Nacon Revolution X Unlimited controller will be released next month
- It is compatible with the Xbox X series | S, as well as PC and Android devices
- Wait hall effect sticks, interchangeable components and an ingenious LCD screen
Nacon’s last Xbox controller, the Unlimited Revolution X, is now available for pre-pedd.
In what appears to be an update on the original revolution X and the PS5 Revolution 5 Pro model, the revolution X Unlimited presents border-resistant corridor effect sticks, interchangeable components (including stick tapas, D-Pads and grip weights) and an LCD screen for instantaneous customization on board.
You can pre-order the controller now on the page of the Nacon store for $ 199.90 / £ 179.90, which in general is cheaper than that of the $ 199.99 / £ 199.99 of Revolution 5 Pro. It must be available from April 30, 2025. The people of the United Kingdom can also reserve in Argos if they wish.
I obtained a short practical time with the revolution X Unlimited in a recent Nacon event in Paris, and although my session was short, it impressed me a lot.
The biggest surprise for me was the built -in LCD screen. In general, I am not a fan of these in the controllers, since I find that they can be too complicated and an unnecessary battery drain. In the Unlimited Revolution X, the screen was accessible to pressing a button, its menu was very clean and all the options (such as the buttons mapping and the sensitivity of the stick) were simple and to the grain.
Made with competitive players in mind, the Revolution X Unlimited will also feature dedicated PC and ‘Shooter Pro’ profiles. The first aims to reduce latency to around a millisecond on the PC through a cable connection and even allows keyboard shortcuts for those reapparent buttons (this time it is found both in the upper part and in the back of the pad. The latter eliminates the dead stick of stick, which in theory should offer improved precision for the best FPS games.
If there is a concern that I have, it would be in the battery life. Nacon estimates that you will get “a minimum” of 10 hours of battery with a single load, which is the same as the Revolution 5 Pro. That is not much compared to some of the other best Xbox controllers. But, the Unlimited Revolution X is sent with a dedicated load spring, providing an easy way to recharge while it is far from its PC or console.
We have another month and a half until the Revolution X Unlimited launches, but you can expect a complete written review here in Techradar Gaming in the near future.
