We are through another week, and go, it was a great in the wild world of technology.
The great event of the week was, of course, goal Connect 2025, where we were presented with three new smart glasses. We also saw the arrival of a new DJI Drone, and we reviewed Apple’s latest technology.
Move up to date with the seven main stories last week.
7. A less known audio brand impressed us
The Soundpeats budget audio specialist has just announced a new pair of affordable headphones that are much higher in specifications and design class than most of their launches.
In spite of costing only $ 129 (they will be launched worldwide, but prices have not yet been announced), they pack in a triple driver sound system, in addition to hybrid cancellation of active noise and Snapdragon sound, without ldac ldac higher wireless LDAC. These have a more elegant list of specifications than Airpods pro 3 in many ways.
The design is also a true striking, with an aspect of golden accent and a thicker design than some rivals that look more like something you would expect from the headphones monitors in the high -end ear than a couple of budget wireless outbreaks.
These are a statement of intention of a headset manufacturer that has quickly improved over time, and the Soundpeats H3 really offers high -end functions at an average range price. They are definitely one to see: our complete criticism will arrive soon.
6. Amazon established a release date for its new thrusts and Kindle
If you have been thinking of buying a new Echo Smart speaker or a Kindle electronic reader, we would suggest that you do not wait for ten days. Amazon told us this week that he is organizing a great hardware event on September 30, and we hope to see new releases in both categories, among others.
Our in -depth dissection of the Amazon Teaser image (see the link below) concluded that a new echo study speaker, color Kindle, echo Buds Aurbuds and Fire TV are the most likely arrivals. But there will probably be an even larger horde of new devices that are designed to work with its new Alexa+voice assistant, so it is definitely a date for its technological diary.
5. DJI Mini 5 Pro took off
With his new drone, DJI redefined what the mini drones can do, thanks to their 1 -inch sensor in class more excellent flight characteristics that are somehow found in a body of 249.9 g to fly under the restrictions imposed on the most voluminal flyers.
It is so impressive, in fact, that our camera editor wonders if DJI has created a problem for himself, because he wonders if someone will want any of his other consumption drones.
To further improve things, drone is a very good value for money. The standard DJI Mini 5 Pro package reaches only £ 679 / AU $ 1,119 (Price TB and availability of USA.), Which seems almost ridiculous for the set of characteristics it is obtaining.
4. We fell in love with the iPhone 17
We reviewed the latest Apple devices, and the iPhone 17, we said that “it feels like the best standard iPhone in years, with Apple bringing character features a long time ago as a promotion and always in a more affordable model.”
Our tester also loved the new A19 chip, the largest screen size, updated cameras and the new iOS 26, in which you can trust the device.
All these positive things to say are why we believe that the iPhone 17 is the one that most people should buy, especially because, for the same price as last year, you get twice the storage.
3. iOS 26 brings an important reworking
In the period prior to the launch day of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air, Apple has launched iOS 26, the largest iPhone software update in years. Launching with ipados 26 and macos Tahoe 26, the update renews the iPhone experience in some unexpected ways, even controversial.
iOS 26 brings updates to photos and messages, new customizations, new useful power settings and a fully redesigned user interface based on Apple liquid glass virtual material. It is the redesign, which unifies the aesthetics of the Apple user interface in iOS, iPados, Macos and Watchos, which has obtained the greatest reactions so far, with some users professing their love for the new aspect and others that inform visual fatigue and related problems.
As for the new features, Apple has reworked some basic applications. The application of the camera has been redesigned with a simpler aspect, the photos application obtains new eyelashes and collection management, and Apple Intelligence obtains improvements for visual intelligence and live translation.
Unfortunately, we missed the new VR Hardware Quest atrial this year in Connect, but Meta did not completely ignore virtual reality.
James Cameron, the worldwide fame film director, took the stage to promote The Quest’s performance as an entertainment machine at home and almost spoiled the future of the finish line. We also saw updates from Horizon Studio and Horizon Engine, which should be very useful for the creators of the world of virtual reality.
We also saw the debut of Horizon TV, which will serve as a unique center within the Quest headphones for the video content and announces the arrival of Disney+ to Quest after its exclusivity Apple Vision Pro.
The Connect finish star was the finish glasses Ray-Ban, which have a full color screen for the first time from finishing specifications. This screen can help you with navigation, translation and even make video calls, although the live goal demonstration was not as planned …
It also gave us Gen 2 Ray-Ban Glasses (without exhibition), and also Oakley Vanguard target specifications, an intelligent visor that aims to bring useful tools to athletes, such as Garmin connectivity for hand-free physical conditioning updates and automatic capture of its milestones as each mile of a marathon.
