IHC refuses to remain in the Afghan repatriation


Islamabad:

The Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC) on Thursday rejected an application in search of a suspension order against the repatriation of registered Afghan refugees and commented that the Court will not interfere with the government policy.

Judge INAAM AMEEN MINHAS heard the case. Umar Ijaz Gilani appeared in court on behalf of the petitioner and asked the court to order the government to refrain from taking measures until the case is decided.

Judge Minhas commented that Afghans have to return home before June 30 according to government policy, added that the Court will not interfere with government policy.

Later, the court postponed the hearing of the case.
