IHC stops the promotions of FBB officers to the 22nd

Islamabad:

The Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC) has issued an stay order, prohibits the selection of selection of high enhanced (HPSB) from proceeding with the promotions of the officers of the Federal Income Board (FBR) from grade 21 to grade 22 to the next hearing.

Judge Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, while listening to a petition presented by FBB Officer Shah Bano, ordered that the HPSB should not convene for the promotion of FBR officers before March 12.

The court ordered that the relevant FBR officials were immediately informed of the order by telephone, ensuring that they are aware of the legal procedures before the official document is signed.

The IHC has sought affidavits of the president of FBR and the secretary of the Prime Minister. The president of FBR must confirm that no summary has been sent on the placement of the petitioner in the administrative group, while the secretary of the Prime Minister must affirm that such a summary has not been received from the president of FBR.

The court warned that if the sworn statements are not presented, the relevant summary must be registered before the next hearing.

Shah Bano had approached the IHC so that his name is included in the consideration of HPSB for promotion to the 22nd grade from grade 21.
