ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) removed the objection to the review petition relating to the prison conditions of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder and directed the Registrar’s Office to schedule a hearing for Monday.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq overruled the Registrar’s Office’s objection to the petition filed by the PTI founder’s legal team. Lawyers Faisal Farid Chaudhary and Bina Faraz appeared before the court to present the case.
The court directed the Office of the Registrar to address the matter promptly and schedule the hearing for Monday.
The petitioner demanded several measures, including weekly telephone calls to children, access to books and newspapers, and regular meetings with family members and legal representatives.
