- Arc Raiders players praise the game’s solo experience and highlight the ease of PvP interactions.
- I’ve certainly found that solo games are filled with more friends than enemies.
- Some servers have even teamed up to take down ARC’s boss enemies.
While your social networks have undoubtedly been full of tension Arch Raiders PvP shootouts recently, the game actually has a much weirder and decidedly healthier side to it.
Playing solo, in my experience, has been a night and day difference compared to jumping with a team. You always feel powerless against the ARC and will probably spend most of your time sneaking around buildings. This is a PvP game, however, and whether you like it or not, you will always encounter another player during a match.
What I didn’t expect while playing Arch Raiders It was just that 90 percent of the PvP interaction was friendly. Many players have sneaked up on me while I’m busy looting, but instead of pointing a gun at my head (they would no doubt have every opportunity to kill me quickly), they yelled “Don’t shoot!”, a phrase now used in the game to indicate that they would really prefer not to fight each other.
This emerging feeling of camaraderie is being reported by many Arch Raiders players, with the game’s official Reddit currently flooded with stories of enemies turned friends. In a post by ‘u/mayormcskeez’, the user praises the community: “the fact that the community decided that most the interactions are friendly it’s fantastic.”
My experience so far with other r/ArcRaiders players
Another post (seen above) jokes about the difference in Arch Raiders Solo and team encounters.
Of course, Arch Raiders It’s a PvP experience, so you’re largely left to decide whether you want to team up or hunt down other Raiders, but it seems like the balance is tilting towards friendly interactions these days.
As ‘u/iReaddit-KORTTOR’ posted, betrayals are still happening, as are deaths during extraction, but there’s a surprisingly relaxed community playing Solo right now: “In solo, I expected it to be a free-for-all game. Kill or be killed. All for one. But I’ve been really surprised by how calm and helpful people are in solo.”
All these tracks are my personal experience playing. bow raiders, mainly alone. Last night I was shot at from afar, and after a minute or two of exchanging long-range fire, I heard my enemy shout, “Don’t shoot!”
I answered the same and we both slowly left our shelter with our weapons stowed. After a quick greeting, we parted ways, avoiding a prolonged firefight that surely would have killed at least one of us.
In another case, I found myself injured and pinned down by flying ARC enemies. I ran for cover and just as the ARC was setting up a shot, I heard gunshots in the distance. I assumed the worst, but as the ARC collapsed around me, I realized that another player had saved me and could have easily finished me off.
Embark Studios has just presented the Arch Raiders roadmap for the rest of 2025, with a new map and events scheduled to arrive soon. With updates coming at such a fast pace, it is very likely that we will add Arch Raiders to our list of the best multiplayer PC games to play in 2025 before the year is out.
