Important reforms in the pension system


Islamabad:

The federal government has introduced important changes in the pension system, impacting all government employees and pensioners.

According to a recently issued notification, pensions will now be calculated based on the average salary of the last 24 months, and employees will no longer be allowed to receive multiple pensions.

According to the new policy, government employees will be determined using the average salary of their last 24 months of service. They will not be allowed to draw more than one pension. However, this rule will not apply to employees who opt for voluntary retirement.
